Bob Luebbert officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Northwood. Burial will be at Sunset Rest Cemetery.

Willo Mena Johnson was born on January 21, 1917, the daughter of James and Florence Lee. She was born in Dahlgren, Illinois and she and her parents also lived in Alberta, Canada for several years and then moved to Iowa.

She was united in marriage to Harry Johnson. To this union one child was born, Connie Elaine.

Mena was a member of the Northwood Baptist Church in Northwood.

Mena was a fun loving, and sincere person. She was an excellent listener, had a wonderful sense of humor and a second mother to a number of people. Her family was a source of pride for her, just as she was for them. She enjoyed baking, canning and working outside; in her younger years she helped her husband tend their large garden. They sold many strawberries and tomatoes to those living in the area. Her memory will last forever, and she will be dearly missed by all those who knew her and were blessed by her life.

She was preceded in death by her: parents; husband; two sisters, Alta Saltou and her husband Bert of Reinbeck, IA, Beulah Hove and husband Thomas of Northwood; one brother, Harry Lee and wife Gena of Northwood; nephews, Jim Lee of Northwood, LaVon Hove of Lake Oswego, OR; niece, Loretta Jans of Cedar Falls, IA step-grandson, Kevin Johnson of Newman Grove, NE; step-son, Harris Johnson of Newman Grove, NE; and step-daughter, Myrna Nelson, CA.

Left to cherish her memory is her: daughter, Connie Hogen and husband Paul of Northwood; grandchildren, Jason Seater of Lexington, KY, and David Seater and wife Avey of Georgetown, KY; great-grandchildren, Camron, Chris, Caden and Ian Seater all of Kentucky, daughter-in-law, Margaret “Mike” Johnson; step-grandchildren, Scott Johnson, Mark Johnson, David (Connie) Johnson of Newman Grove, NE, and Randy (Nancy) Johnson of Columbus, NE; and many dearly loved extended family and friends.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family at this time.
